Is Nonviolent Communication the ideal toolkit for resolving conflicts?

Context

As I was completing my high school studies, I was required to submit a final project. I chose to explore non-violent communication in the work environment due to its practical relevance for the future and because, knowing I would soon pursue scientific studies, I realised I might not have the opportunity to study this topic in depth later on and I wall be exposed to teamwork.

Learning Outcomes

Structure and Organisation

Tackling such a large project at a young age required me to create structure in my work and develop a planning system to stay organized. This experience taught me to work more efficiently, organize and summarize information effectively, and communicate it clearly to readers learning about the subject.

Communication skills

This project taught me how to communicate effectively in a way that fosters understanding and recognition of others’ feelings. Non-violent communication is a valuable tool for conflict resolution and managing interactions with people of different personalities. Its principles have proven useful in a wide range of situations and have been applicable throughout my academic and professional experiences.
